Food tech and grocery delivery major Swiggy (स्विगी) इंस्टामार्टद्वारे, मोठ्या संख्येने ग्राहक किराणा सामान, खाद्यपदार्थ किंवा इतर घरगुती वस्तू ऑर्डर करतात. मात्र, आता स्विगी ग्राहकांना पहिला झटका देणार आहे. 


Swiggy plans to increase delivery fees for Instamart orders as part of its strategy to boost revenue. : स्विगी आपल्या इंस्टामार्ट प्लॅटफॉर्मचे वितरण शुल्क वाढवण्यावर लक्ष केंद्रित करत आहे. ३ डिसेंबर रोजी कंपनीचे मुख्य वित्तीय अधिकारी (CFO) राहुल बोथरा यांनी ही माहिती दिली. स्विगीने आपल्या इन्स्टामार्ट युनिटचा नफा वाढवण्यासाठी हा निर्णय घेतला आहे. 



Chief Financial Officer (CFO) राहुल बोथरा म्हणाले की, जर आपण कंपनीच्या एकूण फी कंस्ट्रक्शन मॉडेलवर नजर टाकली तर, स्विगीच्या सबस्क्रिप्शन प्रोग्राम आणि वापरकर्त्यांकडून गोळा केलेल्या फीवर सबसिडी म्हणून एक निश्चित रक्कम लागू केली जाते. वेळेनुसार डिलिव्हरी शुल्क वाढण्याची गरज असते. या कारणास्तव स्विगीने इन्स्टामार्टचे वितरण शुल्क वाढवण्याची योजना आखली आहे.



कंपनी भविष्यात आपल्या इन्स्टामार्टचे दर किंवा कमिशन सध्याच्या १५ टक्क्यांवरून २०-२२ टक्क्यांपर्यंत वाढवणार आहे. मात्र, हे बदललेले शुल्क कधीपासून लागू केले जाईल याची माहिती राहुल बोथरा यांनी दिली नाही.


स्विगी एप्रिल २०२३ मध्ये फूड डिलिव्हरीसाठी प्रति ऑर्डर २ रुपये आकारत होती. जी आता दीड वर्षात (सुमारे १८ महिन्यांत) प्रति ऑर्डर १० रुपये झाली आहे, म्हणजेच पूर्वीपेक्षा ५ पट शुल्कवाढ झाली आहे. कंपनीने काही महिन्यांपूर्वी खाद्यपदार्थ वितरणावरील शुल्कात आणखी वाढ केली होती.


Food tech and grocery delivery major Swiggy is looking at ways to increase the delivery fee charged to customers who place orders on Instamart, the company's quick commerce arm, to improve the unit’s profit profile, chief financial officer (CFO) Rahul Bothra told analysts on December 3.


Bothra was addressing queries around how the company plans to improve its take rates, or commissions, from around 15 percent currently to 20-22 percent in the future, from the Instamart business. Bothra added that monetisation by running ads on the platform is another way margins will improve over time for Instamart.
