India's next census is expected to start in 2025, following delays due to the pandemic : देशातील जनगणनेसंदर्भात महत्वाची माहिती समोर आली आहे. केंद्र सरकार २०२५ मध्ये भारताच्या जनगणनेला सुरुवात करण्याची शक्यता आहे. केंद्र सरकार मार्फत करण्यात येत असलेल्या जनगणना लवकरच होण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्यामुळे आता देशातील नागरिकांचा आकडा पुढील वर्षी समजू शकतो.

जनगणना 2025 पासून सुरू होणार असल्याचं बोललं जात आहे. तर ही जनगणना 2026 पर्यंत चालणार आहे. यापूर्वीच म्हणजेच 2021 मध्येच जनगणना होणार होती. मात्र कोरोना महामारीमुळे त्यावेळी जनगणना पुढे ढकलण्यात आली होती. त्यामुळे आता देशात पुढील वर्षी म्हणजेच 2025 मध्ये जनगणना करण्याचा निर्णय केंद्र सरकार घेण्याच्या तयारीत असल्याची माहिती मिळत आहे.
पुढच्या वर्षापासून (2025) जनगणना केली जाणार असून आता जनगणनेचे चक्र देखील बदलले जाणार आहे. आत्तापर्यंत 1991, 2001, 2011 इत्यादी दशकाच्या सुरुवातीला दर १० वर्षांनी जनगणना ही केली जात होती. मात्र आता यापुढे 2025 नंतर पुढील जनगणना 2035, 2045, 2055 अशा दहावर्षांनी केली जाणार आहे.
याशिवाय केंद्र सरकारने पुढील वर्षी जनगणना केल्यास लोकसभेच्या जागांचं सीमांकन देखील सुरू होईल. तर 2028 पर्यंत सीमांकन प्रक्रिया देखील पूर्ण होण्याची शक्यता आहे. तसेच देशातील अनेक विरोधी पक्षांकडून जात जनगणनेची देखील मागणी होत आहे. मात्र केंद्र सरकारनं अद्याप याबाबत कोणताही निर्णय घेतलेला नाही. कारण जनगणनेत धर्म आणि वर्ग देखील विचारले जातात. तर सर्वसाधारण, अनुसूचित जाती आणि जमातीची देखील यामध्ये गणना केली जाते. यावेळी लोकांना ते कोणत्या पंथाचे अनुयायी आहेत, हे देखील विचारलं जात असत. त्यामुळे आता पुढील वर्षी जनगणना केली जाऊ शकते.
