बेळगाव-belgavkar : बेळगाव महापालिकेने थकीत मालमत्ता कर वसूल करण्यासाठी मोहीम तीव्र केली आहे. एक लाखाच्या वर ज्यांची थकबाकी आहे, अशा आस्थापनांना टाळे ठोकण्यात येत आहेत. गोंधळी गल्ली येथील कित्तूर राणी चन्नम्मा सहकारी सोसायटीने ६ लाखांचा कर थकवला असल्यामुळे गुरुवारी सोसायटीला टाळे ठोकण्यात आले आहे.
महापालिकेच्या महसूल विभागाकडून गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून अधिक थकबाकी असलेल्या अशा आस्थापनांवर कारवाईचा होत आहे. गुरुवारी सकाळी महसूल उपायुक्त रेश्मा तालिकोटी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील पथकाने गोंधळी गल्ली येथील कित्तूरचन्नम्मा सोसायटीला टाळे ठोकले. जोपर्यंत कर भरण्यात येत नाही. तोपर्यंत टाळे खोलण्यात येणार नाहीत. ही सोसायटी राजकीय नेते व्ही. एस. साधुण्णावर यांची आहे. त्यामुळे या कारवाईची चर्चा रंगली होती.
लवकरात लवकर थकीत कर भरण्याची सूचना करण्यात आली आहे. महापालिका आयुक्त शुभा बी. यांच्या सूचनेनंतर थकीत कर वसुलीला वेग आला आहे. आतापर्यंत अनेक दुकानांना टाळे ठोकण्यात आले असून थकित मालमत्ता करधारकांनी वेळेत कर भरणा करावी, अन्यथा कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असा इशारा दिला आहे.

Belgaum: Society locked by #Municipality
Belgaum-belgavkar: Belgaum Municipal Corporation has intensified its campaign to recover outstanding property tax. Establishments with outstanding dues of more than one lakh are being locked. The Kittur Rani Channamma Cooperative Society in Gondhali Galli was locked on Thursday because it had a tax of 6 lakhs.
The Municipal Corporation's Revenue Department has been taking action against such establishments with high arrears for the past few days. On Thursday morning, a team led by Revenue Deputy Commissioner Reshma Talikoti locked the Kittur Channamma Society in Gondhali Galli. The locks will not be opened until the tax is paid. This society belongs to political leader V. S. Sadhunnavar. Therefore, there was a lot of discussion about this action.
An instruction has been given to pay the outstanding tax as soon as possible. After the instruction of Municipal Commissioner Shubha B., the recovery of outstanding tax has gained momentum. So far, many shops have been closed and a warning has been issued to property tax arrears to pay their taxes on time, otherwise action will be taken.
