Paytm launches UPI internationally, enabling cashless payments in UAE, France, Singapore, and more : देशात युनिफाइड पेमेंट इंटरफेस Unified Payments Interface (UPI) सुरू झाल्यापासून आर्थिक व्यवहार सुलभ झाले आहेत. भाजीपाल्यापासून गाडीच्या पेमेंटपर्यंत सर्व आर्थिक व्यवहार आता यूपीआयद्वारे केले जात आहेत. UPI विस्तारासाठी भारत सरकार सातत्याने नवनवीन निर्णय घेत आहे. भारताच्या पुढाकाराने नेपाळ, फ्रान्स, यूएई, मलेशिया, सिंगापूर, फिलिपाइन्स, श्रीलंका, मॉरिशस, भूतान, ओमान आणि मालदीव अशा अनेक देशांमध्ये UPI पेमेंट सुविधा सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. आता थर्ड पार्टी अ‍ॅप पेटीएमने देखील आंतरराष्ट्रीय UPI पेमेंटची सुविधा सुरू केली आहे.
पेटीएमची मालकी असलेली कंपनी One97 Communications (OCL) काही निवडक देशांमध्ये पेटीएम वापरकर्त्यांसाठी UPI पेमेंटची सुविधा सुरू केली आहे. अशा परिस्थितीत आता भारतीय प्रवासी पेटीएम अ‍ॅपद्वारे कोणत्याही अडचणीशिवाय कॅशलेस पेमेंट करू शकणार आहेत. यापुढे यूएई, सिंगापूर, फ्रान्स, मॉरिशस, भूतान आणि नेपाळ सारख्या देशांमध्ये भारतीय प्रवासी सुरक्षित, कॅशलेस पेमेंट करू शकतील.
UPI इंटरनॅशनल सेट अप करणे त्रासमुक्त आहे, यासाठी वापरकर्त्याच्या बँक खात्याशी लिंक केलेले एक-वेळ सक्रिय करणे आवश्यक आहे. वापरकर्ते परदेशी ठिकाणी UPI-सक्षम QR कोड स्कॅन केल्यानंतर, ॲप आपोआप सक्रिय होण्यास सूचित करते. प्रवासी त्यांच्या सहलीच्या कालावधीनुसार 1 ते 90 दिवसांचा वापर कालावधी निवडू शकतात आणि भारतात परत आल्यावर सेवा निष्क्रिय करू शकतात. हे अपघाती व्यवहार टाळते आणि सुरक्षितता वाढवते. ही प्रक्रिया अतिरिक्त सुरक्षेसाठी आहे. गरज नसताना हे निष्क्रिय करता येते.

Digital payments app Paytm has announced the launch of UPI International, enabling Indian travellers to conduct UPI transactions at a selection of worldwide locations.
By launching this feature, Paytm aims to allow users to make cashless payments leveraging its app in the UAE, France, Mauritius, Singapore, Bhutan, and Nepal. With a focus on making mobile payments available to all, the company’s move intends to scale the convenience of foreign travel, enabling customers to conduct secure, cashless payments across several regions. Also, officials mentioned that the launch comes just as the holiday season is approaching to further support users in their travelling arrangements.
Setting up UPI International is hassle-free, requiring a one-time activation linked to the user’s bank account. Once users scan a UPI-enabled QR code at a foreign location, the app prompts activation automatically. Travellers can select a usage period ranging from 1 to 90 days based on the duration of their trip and deactivate the service once they’re back in India. This prevents accidental transactions and enhances security.
