बेळगाव—belgavkar—belgaum : दहावी व बारावीचा निकाल चांगला लागावा यासाठी शिक्षण खाते दरवर्षी विविध उपक्रम राबवित असते. यंदाही एक अनोखा उपक्रम राबविण्यात येणार आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांना अभ्यासासाठी प्रवृत्त करण्यासाठी रोज पहाटे त्यांना 'वेक अप कॉल' करण्याची जबाबदारी शिक्षकांवर सोपविण्यात आली आहे. कर्नाटक शालेय परीक्षा व मूल्यांकन मंडळाने (केएसईएबी - Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board’s (KSEAB)) ही संकल्पना मांडली आहे.
यंदा मार्च-एप्रिलमध्ये झालेल्या दहावीचा सरासरी निकाल फार कमी लागला होता. त्यामुळे, मंडळाने विद्यार्थ्यांना उत्तीर्ण करण्यासाठी वाढीव (ग्रेस) गुण देण्याची सूचना केली होती. मात्र, त्याला मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धरामय्या यांच्यासह शिक्षणतज्ज्ञांनीही आक्षेप घेतला होता. यंदाच्या शैक्षणिक वर्षात अशी परिस्थिती निर्माण होऊ नये यासाठी मंडळाने दहावी व बारावी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी २० कलमी कार्यक्रम आखला आहे.
शिक्षकांनी आपापल्या वर्गातील साधारण व कच्च्या विद्यार्थ्यांची यादी बनवावी (average and below-average students) व त्यांना रोज पहाटे 'वेक अप कॉल' देऊन अभ्यास करण्यासाठी प्रवृत्त करावे, अशी ही संकल्पना आहे. या काळात अभ्यास करताना काही शंका आल्यास विद्यार्थी शिक्षकांना फोन करुन त्यांचे निरसनही करुन घेऊ शकतात. त्यानुसार काही शाळांच्या मुख्याध्यापकांनी कामाला सुरवात केली आहे. पालकांना भेटून त्यांचे मोबाईल क्रमांक संकलित केले जात आहेत. तर काही शिक्षकांनी प्रत्यक्ष कॉलकरण्यासही सुरवात केली आहे.
अभ्यासात कच्च्या असणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांवर अधिक लक्ष केंद्रित करुन त्यांना अभ्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करावे, असे शिक्षकांना बजावण्यात आले आहे. शाळांनी 'बडी पेअरिंग' पद्धतीचा अवलंब करण्याची सूचना शाळांना केली आहे. यांतर्गत हुशार, साधारण व कच्च्या मुलांना समूह अभ्यास करण्यास प्रवृत्त केले जाणार आहे. मुख्य म्हणजे शिक्षकांनी डिसेंबर अखेरपर्यंत अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करावा. जेणेकरुन विद्यार्थ्यांना उजळणी करणे व संभाव्य प्रश्नपत्रिका सोडविण्यासाठी पुरेसा वेळ मिळेल, असेही सांगण्यात आले आहे.

In a bid to improve the results of SSLC and second PU examinations across the board, the Department of School Education and Literacy has entrusted teachers with a host of tasks, one of which entails a ‘wake-up call’ to all their students in the morning.
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board’s (KSEAB) initiative this year was prompted by a drop in the overall pass percentage in the exams conducted earlier this year. The board had been urged to award grace marks to promote the students, a move that many, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had questioned. Eager to pre-empt such a situation again this academic year, the board has come up with a ’20 Point’ programme for SSLC and second year PU students.
Teachers have been asked to compile a list of average and below-average students in their respective classes, and give them a ‘wake-up call’ in the small hours of the morning, to encourage them to go the extra yard.
