CBSE plans two-tier system for Science and Social Science in classes 9 and 10 : गणित, विज्ञान, सामान्य विज्ञान हे विषय अनेक विद्यार्थ्यांना कठीण जातात. या विषयाची प्रश्नपत्रिका सोडवताना तुम्हाला कमी कठीण किंवा कठीण असा पर्याय देण्यात आला तर? Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)बोर्ड नववी, दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी असाच महत्वाचा निर्णय घेण्याच्या तयारीत आहे.
दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी गणिताच्या (स्टॅण्डर्ड आणि बेसिक) 2 लेव्हल सादर केल्यानंतर केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षण बोर्डाने (सीबीएसई) 2026-2027 शैक्षणिक वर्षापासून नववी आणि दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी निर्णय घेतलाय. त्यानुसार या विद्यार्थ्यांना विज्ञान आणि सामान्य विज्ञान (स्टॅंडर्ड आणि एडव्हान्स) साठी एकसारख्या स्ट्रक्चरमध्ये काम केले जात आहे. हे विषय 2 पातळीवर सादर करण्याचा निर्णय Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) च्या करिक्युलम समितीच्या नुकत्याच झालेल्या बैठकीत घेण्यात आला.
सध्या सीबीएसई बोर्डात दहावीमध्ये दोन पातळीवर एक विषय शिकवला जातो. या मॉडेलमध्ये गणित (स्टॅण्डर्ड) आणि गणित (बेसिक) निवडणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अभ्यासक्रम सारखा आहे. पण बोर्डाच्या परीक्षेतील प्रश्नपत्रिकेत आणि प्रश्नांची काठीण्य पातळीची लेव्हल वेगवेगळी असते. ही सिस्टिम 2019-20 या शैक्षणिक वर्षापासून सुरु करण्यात आली होती. सीबीएसईच्या आकडेवारीनुसार, 2023-24 च्या परीक्षेत बेसिक लेव्हलसाठी 6 लाख 79 हजार 560 विद्यार्थ्यांनी नोंदणी केली. तर स्टॅण्डर्ड लेव्हलसाठी नोंदणी करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांची संख्या 15 लाख 88 हजार 41 इतकी आहे. म्हणजेच बेसिकपेक्षा स्टॅण्डर्डसाठी जास्त विद्यार्थ्यांनी नोंदणी केली.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is reportedly working towards a similar structure for science and social science (standard and advanced) for Classes 9 and 10, beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year, after introducing two levels of mathematics (standard and basic) for Class 10 students.
After introducing two levels of Mathematics (standard and basic) for Class 10 students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is learnt to be working towards a similar structure for Science and Social Science (standard and advanced) for Classes 9 and 10, starting from the 2026-27 academic session.
The decision to offer these subjects at two levels was taken during a recent meeting of the CBSE’s curriculum committee. The Board’s governing body, which serves as its highest decision-making authority, has to give the final approval.
The framework for this change, including whether students opting for the advanced level will use different study material or simply take a different exam, is yet to be finalised. According to sources, the CBSE is awaiting the release of new textbooks by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), aligned with the updated National Curriculum Framework.
