बेळगाव—belgavkar—belgaum : @कर्नाटक : राज्य सरकारने बळ्ळारी जिल्ह्यातील एका बाळंतिणीच्या मृत्यूचे प्रकरण गांभीर्याने घेतले आहे आणि राज्यातील सर्व सरकारी रुग्णालयांमध्ये आयव्ही रिंगर लॅक्टेट सोल्यूशन (आयव्ही आरएलएस) ग्लुकोजच्या वापरावर बंदी घातली आहे, असे आरोग्य मंत्री दिनेश गुंडूराव यांनी शनिवारी सांगितले.
पत्रकारांशी बोलताना मंत्री म्हणाले, 'IntraVenous (IV) Ringer's
Lactate Solution (IV RLS) चा वापर बाळंतिणीच्या मृत्यूचे कारण आहे की नाही, हे अधिकृतपणे माहीत नाही. मात्र, संशय आल्याने नमुने तपासणीसाठी पाठवले आहेत. 'आयआरएलएस' ग्लुकोजचा वापर पूर्वीपासून रुग्णालयांमध्ये केला जात आहे. यावेळीही औषध पुरवठा महामंडळाला १९२ बॅचचा पुरवठा करण्यात आला. जेव्हा त्याच्या वापरादरम्यान दोन बॅचेसबद्दल काही शंका उपस्थित केल्या गेल्या. तेव्हा खबरदारी म्हणून सर्व १९२ बॅचेस पूर्णपणे हॉस्पिटलमध्ये वापरण्यापासून रोखण्यात आल्या.
In the wake of the deaths of five postpartum women at the District Hospital and Ballari Medical College and Research Centre (BMRC), the state health department has suspended the use of IV Ringer’s lactate in all government hospitals across the state as a precautionary measure, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao announced on Saturday.
The glucose that was administered after caesarean was fake. Ringer Lactate glucose was supplied by Paschim Banga Pharmaceutical Ltd. This glucose has been banned. It was said by the department not to give it. Even then it was used and women lost their lives.
Lactated Ringer's solution, or LR, is an intravenous (IV) fluid you may receive if you're dehydrated, having surgery, or receiving IV medications.
