DigiLocker to become key in asset transfer after death : Share Market किंवा म्युच्युअल फंडात Mutual Fund गुंतवणूक करणाऱ्यांच्या मृत्यूनंतर त्याच्या वारसाला संपत्ती दिली जाते. पण, कधी-कधी ही प्रक्रिया खूप गुंतागुंतीची ठरू शकते. ही प्रक्रिया सोपी करण्यासाठी शेअर बाजार नियामक सेबी (SEBI - Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)) ने सरकारी डिजिटल स्टोरेज सिस्टम डिजीलॉकरच्या (DigiLocker) वापराचा प्रस्ताव दिला आहे.
म्हणजेच, गुंतवणूकदारांची डिमॅट खाती, शेअर्स आणि म्युच्युअल फंडातील गुंतवणुकीची संपूर्ण माहिती/आर्थिक मालमत्ता डिजीलॉकरमध्ये सेव्ह केली जाईल.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) ने केंद्र सरकारची डिजिटल स्टोरेज सिस्टम DigiLocker वापरण्याचा प्रस्ताव दिला आहे. या प्रस्तावाचा उद्देश कोणत्याही गुंतवणूकदाराचा मृत्यू झाल्यास, त्याच्या नावावर असलेल्या आर्थिक मालमत्तेचे हस्तांतरण सोपे करणे हा आहे. याद्वारे गुंतवणुकदाराच्या नावावर असलेली मालमत्ता त्याच्या नॉमिनी किंवा वारसाला सहज हस्तांतरित केली जाऊ शकते. या प्रस्तावानुसार, गुंतवणूकदाराच्या मृत्यूनंतर डिजीलॉकर त्याचे खाते अपडेट करेल आणि गुंतवणूकदाराच्या वारसाला त्याची मालमत्ता मिळू शकेल.
डिपॉझिटरीज आणि म्युच्युअल फंडांनी डिमॅट आणि म्युच्युअल फंड होल्डिंग स्टेटमेंट डिजीलॉकरवर उपलब्ध करून द्यावेत, असा प्रस्ताव SEBI ने आपल्या कन्सल्टेशन पेपरमध्ये मांडला आहे. KYC नोंदणी एजन्सीज (KRAs) ने गुंतवणूकदाराच्या मृत्यूची माहिती DigiLocker सोबत शेअर करावी, असेही प्रस्तावित करण्यात आले आहे. डिजिलॉकर युजर त्याचे खाते अँक्सेस करण्यासाठी कोणत्याही व्यक्तीला नामनिर्देशित करू शकतो. SEBI ने याबाबत 31 डिसेंबर 2024 पर्यंत लोकांकडून सूचना मागवल्या आहेत.
